The Youth Group aims to empower young people in the Sri Lankan community by providing a supportive platform for both spiritual growth and holistic personal development, welcoming individuals of all religious backgrounds. It helps youth achieve their goals and become responsible, engaged members of society.
This program specifically benefits Sri Lankan youth aged 13 to 19, focusing particularly on high school students. It supports skill development for the workforce and fosters core values to encourage good citizenship within the country.
The spiritual advisor of the Palmy Sri Lankan Buddhist Society Incorporated (Resident Saṅgha) offers religious guidance and support. The Society sponsors and coordinates all activities, providing necessary resources and personnel, whether paid or volunteer. Additionally, young members are encouraged to take initiative and lead the group’s activities, fostering leadership skills.
